Anyone who judges someone's worthiness based on weight and makes comments about perceived "fatness," is not a nice person and does not deserve to be part of one's life. My late mother-in-law had an eating disorder that she passed on to her daughters (anorexia, her daughters had that or bulimia). I yo-yoed with my weight and she was only nice to me when I was my thinnest. My husband was too intimidated by her dysfunctional parenting of him and his siblings to defend me. She died after years of severe dementia. I wonder if a lifetime of starving affected her brain?

The response to "I think you should lose some weight." is " I think you should find a new girlfriend, after you find a new personality." This is why it's so important to get a good job, because if you're living with the jerk, you can bounce with flair.

I lost 15lbs my first trimester and the nausea lasted for 7 months. I stopped after 1. I could barely function while pregnant and the thought of doing it again but having to watch another child at the same time was too much for me. My boy just turned 16 on Mother’s Day. Sour Patch kids saved me too. Something about them takes the edge off when you’re nauseous. But after the sour was gone I’d have to spit it out, the sweet candy was too much for my stomach.

I had my first baby last July. There was a bag of sour patch kids in my immediate vicinity the entire first trimester. 😂

This was so much fun to watch the bonds the three of you have with each other. It is truly wonderful to see siblings that truly love each other and get along through ups and downs, good and bad. Whatever magic your parents had worked really well with you guys. I know so many people going through estrangements, including my own. Your mother reminds me of my mom who has since passed, but she always worried that my brother and I would not drift apart after her death. She was always the glue that held us together and now that she is gone her fears have come to pass. I love the way the spouses have all been welcomed into the family and how well you all get along. Your family is truly blessed. Treasure what you have.
